Board Resource Committee
Members of the Board Resource Committee are responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and future viability of the Board of Trustees. Typically chaired by the Immediate Past President, this group evaluates the board’s strengths and weaknesses, identifies potential board members, and coordinates ongoing training and education of board members. This committee typically meets four to six times a year.
Development Committee
The Development Committee helps the Board carry out its due diligence function related to assuring fiscal health through philanthropy and fund development. This committee works with the Foundation staff to build a culture of enthusiasm for fundraising. The committee provides input into the development of the annual campaign, including direct mail, personal solicitations, and events fundraising. Members engage in aspects of annual fundraising, marketing efforts and solicitation of sponsors and donors. Time Requirement: This committee typically meets 6 times over the course of the year and with a time commitment of 3-5 hours a month.
A Night Out Planning Committee
Held in February, the A Night Out event began in 2000 and typically includes a silent auction, social hour, dinner and program. The planning committee coordinates logistics, sponsorships, auction items, program content and promotion activities for the event. This committee meets five to six times between August and March with a time commitment of 3-5 hours/month during the planning timeframe.
Investment in Youth Planning Committee
Held in May, this celebration includes a dinner and ceremony to recognize the many achievements and success stories of the students, volunteers, and staff of Osseo Area Schools. This event began in 1999 and is typically held the first Sunday in May at Park Center Senior High School. The planning committee coordinates award nominations, logistics, sponsorships, entertainment and program for the event. This committee typically meets four times between January and May with a time commitment of 3-5 hours/month during the planning timeframe.
