Reading is Fun Run          Fall Social          A Night Out        An Investment in Youth

The District 279 Foundation's 12th annual A Night Out event will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Rush Creek Golf Club.  Each year, our auction generates a lot of excitement as members of our District 279 community combine their efforts to produce a fun-filled evening for our guests.  Registration information will be available in December 2011.

 
The District 279 Foundation's 14th annual An Investment in Youth is a gala event to recognize and celebrate the many achievements and success stories of the students, volunteers, and staff of Independent School District #279.  It is this sense of celebration that is captured in the District 279 Foundation's identity.  The image of a never-ending circle of community locked in dance is a reminder of what we can do when we work together for our children.  The 2012 event will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012.  The An Investment in Youth invitation will be available in March 2012.

Planning has begun for the 2012 Reading is Fun Run.  Mark your calendar for Saturday September 22, 2012.  Check back often for updates.

More than 100 guests showed their support in October for District 279 Schools at the 4th annual Fall Social Hosted by the Maple Tavern.  The annual event enables the Foundation to express its appreciation and share information about the programs that donor contributions support.  This year, two teachers who applied for and received grants, described their programs and the difference they have made for their students.
